Design Philosophy

Diane Procter Architect is a full service architecture firm specializing in
high-end residential townhouses and apartments. With 15 years of experience
I know how to create a marriage of styles between the client, the architect,
and the project.

My architecture is a three dimensional symphony. With the use of repetitive
forms, changing scale, material, and texture I create a harmony as a composer
does with a composition of musical notes. As one moves through the physical
space, she should be confronted and delighted with forms that define, colors
that merge and textures that entice.

Recent Projects

New York City Townhouse
Diane Procter Architect is currently completing the renovation of a 25.5-foot
wide townhouse built in 1904 by the architect Bernard Potter. With the client's
understanding and the architect's guidance, this project became as much a
restoration as a renovation. Great care was take to reuse 70 of the 75 original
doors and preserve significant existing details. This saved the client money
while also adding texture and history to what is now the "cover girl" on an
Upper East Side block.
